Data collection methods in clinical trails 08 Apr 2015 01:01 #194

Yes, I agree with Facten. Online surveys are better for clinical trials. Patients will definitely feel more comfortable and at ease in answering sensitive medical questions.

But don't you think that sometimes a patient might feel comfortable participating online where he gets to fill or tick an online form with privacy rather than sitting at the doctors office filling a paper form. Also I think electronic data collection is more efficient and a cheaper option.

Well, you can opt for either a paper based or electronic approach. Since you are already dealing with diabetes patients, you can ask them whether they are interested in participating in a trail.

Im a doctor handling patients with diabetes. Im interested in conducting a clinical trail amongst diabetes patients. What do you think is the best way to collect information?
