35th Annual Pre-Conference of the Library and Research Services for Parliaments Section

The 2019 IFLAPARL pre-conference will be held at the Hellenic Parliament, Athens, Greece, on the 22nd - 23rd August 2019.

Programme

Please note that there will be no call for papers this year as we will have a very full agenda to cover, including:

• Presentations from our hosts, the Hellenic Parliament, on their services and activities

• The launch of the Parliamentary Research & Library Service Ethics Checklist, following the feedback from last year's workshop

• A workshop to review and work on the draft of the new edition of our Guidelines for Legislative Libraries

However, we will be featuring a series of lightning updates (5 minute slots) for members to tell us about developments in their service or regional network.  Further information on how to requst one of these slots will be published later, so watch this space!  In the meantime, an outline programme for the pre-conference can be found on our Events pages here.

[Note: Members are still welcome to submit proposals for presentations for our open session at the WLIC.  The deadline for submissions is 29 March - further details can be found here.]

Registration

Registration for the pre-conference will open shortly.  You will be able to download a short registration form that you will need to complete and return to Steve Wise, as IFLAPARL Chair, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. This form will ask if you require a letter of invitation.  The deadline for registration will be Friday, 31st May.  We will need to limit attendance at this year's pre-conference to a maximum of 120 participants so please send in your registration forms promptly.
