The workshop takes you through the entire process of producing a successful online presentation that engages your audience and showcases your unique expertise. By the end of the workshop, you will have a clear roadmap for taking a webinar idea from concept to delivery to post-production including sharing and re-use. We focus particularly on strategies for:

  • Making technology choices appropriate to your purpose, audience, and budget
  • Crafting appealing presentations that engage audiences and make YOU as memorable as your content
  • Dealing with the unique challenges of an online presentation environment, including the inevitable technical glitches

There is time to apply what we learned by brainstorming and sharing, so bring your ideas and experiences!

Cathy Chiba

Presenter profile:
Cathy Chiba is not your typical public speaker. She doesn’t remember punch lines, has been known to faint occasionally, and once managed to electrocute herself while explaining the principles of superconductivity. But she loves to share, and she knows how to do so in ways that are fun and entertaining without sacrificing content. During the years she was a full-time science demonstrator, she blew things up and explained science and technology to constantly changing audiences. She is now the owner of Dauratus Research, a firm specializing in patent and technology research. Cathy has volunteered for work on a number of AIIP teams.
